Captain Jake Schwarze is a U.S.-licensed captain with a USCG 100T Master’s license, bringing over four years of experience running and crewing luxury yachts. Originally from North Carolina, Jake grew up with a deep love for the water that naturally led him to a career at sea. He has worked on vessels up to 125 feet, cruising from the East Coast to the Caribbean, and takes pride in helping guests discover the joy of life on the ocean. Jake’s background combines strong seamanship with polished guest service. His career highlights include time aboard the 125’ Marsha Cay (Westport), 106’ Bodacious (Sanlorenzo), and 80’ Bright Star (Hatteras), where he was responsible for navigation, tender operations, guest activities, and overall vessel management. Whether piloting to a hidden anchorage, organizing a day of watersports, or ensuring behind-the-scenes operations run smoothly, Jake creates a safe and seamless charter experience. Known for his calm leadership and approachable style, Jake brings professionalism, enthusiasm, and a guest-first mindset to every trip. He thrives on creating an atmosphere where guests can relax, unplug, and make unforgettable memories—whether it’s exploring a reef, enjoying a sunset cruise, or simply soaking in the peace of being on the water.

Chef Iona, born and raised in England, brings a Mediterranean flair shaped by summers in Lake Como and professional training at the Ashburton and Orchards Cookery Schools in the U.K. She has extensive experience as a private chef in Portugal’s Algarve and as a chalet chef in the French Alps, where she delivered refined, guest-focused dining in both villa and luxury chalet settings. Iona began her yachting career in Mallorca aboard a 55ft catamaran sailing the Balearics and has since built a reputation for creating fresh, flavorful menus that celebrate both land and sea. Adaptable, creative, and detail-oriented, she ensures every meal on board is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, giving charter guests an exceptional culinary experience throughout their time at sea.

Steward Joseph Wood brings a unique combination of hospitality, culinary training, and diving expertise to his role on board. With seven years of experience working in destinations such as the Bahamas and BVI, Joseph began his career as both a chef and scuba instructor before finding his stride in the steward role. He excels at service and presentation, from mixing signature cocktails and setting elegant tables to ensuring cabins are welcoming and perfectly maintained. His versatile background also allows him to assist with guest activities on and off the water, creating a seamless experience throughout the charter. Known for his energy, attention to detail, and warm approach, Joseph takes pride in delivering those extra touches—whether it’s a beach picnic, a sunset dinner, or a snorkeling adventure—that make every trip unforgettable.
