Genesis is a 47ft Catana catamaran specifically built with comfort and speed in mind. Her wide beam offers the necessary stability as well as exceptional space.
Genesis is built as an "owner version" yacht. As such one of the hulls is yours and yours alone. Complete privacy, king size bed and plenty of storage.
Relax while watching a movie, listening to music, reading a book or simply enjoy the ever changing view from your large cabin window - a special Catana feature. The guest cabin features a spacious en suite bathroom built for two.
Other great features on Genesis are the low swim platforms making it a breeze to get on and off the boat. It also comes in handy when bringing aboard a lively fish. Remember fresh " Catch of the Day" on the BBQ is always a possibility!
Both indoor and outdoor dining areas offer beautiful panoramic views. You can find a welcoming breeze and plenty of shade in the exceptionally large cockpit under the hard-top bimini. Or you can sunbathe comfortably on the huge trampoline while sipping a cool drink and watching dolphins playfully criss-crossing between the bows.
Leave your business suit behind. Trade in those stiletto heels for a pair of flip flops.
It is time to kick back and relax. Leave your worries in our wake as Genesis sails you comfortably into the magical Jewels of the Caribbean - the Grenadines.
We can provide you with stress free sailing in gentle trade winds through these aquamarine waters. Dive in and snorkel through the abundant coral reefs and observe the exotic marine life while anchored off of one of the many sand beaches. Row the kayaks ashore to explore your own private paradise.
Or maybe windsurfing is more your speed. Jump on and take off with a steady breeze in the calm and pristine waters behind the reefs. Catch a fish, including tuna, mahi mahi, and wahoo. Or perhaps you would like to disappear in the hammock with a cocktail in your hand.
All is possible on Genesis! Let the Genesis crew help you create your own dream vacation.
Purified drinking water made on board.
Reusable water bottles available for use on board.
Power consumption of the vessel covered 95% by solar generated power.

Petr and Tracy were extremely accommodating and attentive. Tracy is a very talented, delightful, warm and friendly Hostess/ Chef. Petr is a masterful, skilled, safety conscious Captain who went out of his way to make some very "sporty" (his word) sailing conditions as comfortable as possible for us. He did his best to find anchorages that were as smooth as possible given the sea conditions. He was extremely attentive, helpful with sound advice on snorkeling technique, loaned us his own snorkeling equipment after ours proved inefficient and was diligent in keeping a close eye on us while we were snorkeling or swimming. Petr was extremely skilled at maneuvering the catamaran in challenging conditions and these skills enabled us to land two sailfishes, two large barracuda as well as a black-fin tuna while under sail. Tracy and Petr were both also great help, and great fun in encouraging us and helping us land (and release some) of the results of our fishing efforts both under sail and at anchor.
Genesis was immaculate on our boarding her and Tracy and Petr made sure that she was maintained this way for our entire 10 day sail. Our quarters were spacious, beautifully clean, airy and the fans provided, as well as the cross-breeze from the windows in the sleeping area and in the bathroom, created very comfortable sleeping conditions. There was plenty of storage and Tracy ensured that our sleeping area and bathroom were beautifully maintained throughout our sail. There were vases of exotic, locally grown, fresh flowers and foliage in our cabin and in the salon and Tracy's innovative and lovely shell night-lights made getting around our quarters during the night very comfortable.
The food was delicious, beautifully and artistically presented. Tracy's creative flare was evident in the presentation of every single dish of each meal, including (within a few minutes of our impromptu request) a beautifully arranged and presented cheese-board which we had one day instead of lunch. The meals were generous and varied. The flavors, colors and textures were eye-catching, appetizing, fresh and bright. The dishes that Tracy prepared for us (per our request) were a mix of familiar North American-style fare and dishes representative of local cuisine. Tracy and Petr made excellent use of local ingredients, fruits, vegetable, herbs and fish and as a bonus, made good use of some of the products of our fishing luck. Petr treated us, one evening to Bramboracky, a Szech dish. It was a great treat, not only because it was delicious but because we were impressed by the versatility of his skills! (He is also a skilled barbecue chef, grilling many of the protein components of our meals on the small barbecue off the back of Genesis.) Tracy and Petr's gorgeous collection of batik napkins and sea-themed, napkin -rings (Never repeated once- during our 10 days of sailing!) were a visual delight, making the table a feast for the eyes even before the food was served.
We enjoyed the itinerary and areas sailed in the Grenadines. Unfortunately the weather disallowed some of the beach time and snorkeling that we would have loved to do, but this is a good excuse for us to sail this itinerary on the Genesis with Petr and Tracy again, in hopes of better weather from Mother Nature.
Sailing Direction's service was excellent. We appreciated the prompt, efficient replies to all our queries and to the pre-and post- sail communications. We loved having access to our sailing details on the Sailing Directions web-site as well as the preparation info section.
We will gladly and unreservedly refer anyone who expresses interest in a sailing trip.

Petr and Tracy were friendly and generally wonderful. Having an entire hull to ourselves meant there was privacy and plenty of room. Amazing food, tasty and very fresh (fish caught and on the plate with a few hours). Cruising itinerary in the Caribbean Grenadines was perfect. We will recommend Sailing Directions to friends and family.

I wanted to express my total satisfaction with the Genesis charter you organized. Petr and Tracy, aside from being true, skilled sailors, bring the process of hosting to the highest level imaginable. We were pampered beyond belief and the sailing was brilliant. With Petr, motoring is an anathema - quite wonderful. The boat itself is in superb condition and our accommodations commodious and totally comfortable. If and when we charter again it will surely be with them. Thanks for your help.

Allow us to begin by saying that we find it very difficult to believe that we did know Tracy and Petr, prior to May 21, 2012. We are most thankful for your suggestion of travelling from St. Vincent to Grenada. Petr and Tracy mentioned that this is one of their most favorite and pleasant passages. This certainly came to fruition. Petr was ever-vigilant to ensure that we had a safe and pleasant journey. He and Tracy always worked as a well-coordinated team. Together they sailed the vessel to ensure a wonderful passage. Petr realized that one of our favorite pastimes is snorkeling. He was always watching over us from the dingy. He took us to some out-of-the way locales that were simply amazing. Even though these snorkeling destinations were, at times, "rough" he realized that we are proficient swimmers and snorkelers, and yet he remained vigilant.
Tracy is the consummate chef and hostess. From the time we boarded "Genesis" she looked after every one of our needs. Tracy has such an amazing talent in her culinary skills. Her ability to marry local fruits, spices and meats is truly amazing. Tracy's food preparation and presentation was remarkable. Her love of meal planning and cooking is obvious after only one meal. We would often begin the morning with fresh fruit, simply and elegantly presented and end off the day with a "six-star" feast. The meals in between were a "smorgasbord" of unparalleled sashimi, sushi, grilled fish and even lamb! We regularly encouraged Tracy to publish a cookbook.
In terms of living with the crew, as previously stated, we cannot believe that we did not know one another prior to this voyage. The four us laughed and talked (well mostly Tom and Tracy) from sunrise to sunset. Petr and Tracy complement each other so very well. We cannot recall another time when we had so much fun being silly adults together for seven days in a row. Tracy and Petr made us feel like family and that feeling still persists today, thousands of miles away. We are already planning our agenda for our next voyage together.
"Genesis" is remarkably well laid out. Considering that we were novices to the sailing lifestyle, living on "Genesis" with another unfamiliar couple could have potential problems. There was not one incident of being uncomfortable or having enough space. Our quarters were spacious and clean. Tracy and Petr ensured that our sleeping quarters and "head" were always clean and well functioning. On a few nights, Petr made extra sure that we were comfortable and ran the AC. Tracy ensured that all was tidy and well kept. They worked tirelessly from sunrise until after we retired to ensure that every one our needs were met and that "Genesis" was prepared for the next leg of our journey.
With regards to the itinerary, again thank you for suggesting the voyage from St. Vincent to Grenada. This is a wonderful passage. Petr was able to fulfill our wish list and added a few out-of-the way anchorages as well. We swam and snorkeled all day. We swam with turtles and rays. We caught lobster for dinner. We caught fresh tuna. We feasted on fresh sashimi and sushi! We relaxed. We ate and drank more. We marveled at the constellations. The only thing we did not do was read, we were either too busy talking and laughing or too tired. Wow, it truly seems like a dream. Thankfully Tracey and Petr were ever present with their digital camera and sent us home with over 500 digital pictures!
The true joy for us was making new friends in distant lands. Tracy and Petr introduced us to several local people that will remain etched in our memories forever.
This was truly an amazing adventure like no other. We highly recommend it. We would enthusiastically encourage you to use us a reference on your website.
With warmest regards and thanks.

We found Petr and Tracy to be friendly, attentive, accommodating, delightful, knowledgeable, enjoyable, fun, attractive, respectful, and always great to be around. If there are other superlatives that I have left out, just add them yourself as a favor to us.
Genesis is a well-designed, well fitted, and well maintained sailing vessel that is also perfect for the accommodation of salty vacationers like us. The boat was powerful and safe. Petr and Tracy have pride in their vessel and it shows. Great thought had gone into provisioning so that not only were our "creature needs" assured if we had forgotten something like toothpaste, aspirin, shampoo etc. but also to provide for our leisure and pleasure desires like favorite foods and wines and cocktails.
It was hard to believe that Tracy was not a highly trained gourmet chef, because together, Tracy and Peter produced meals and treats and deserts that would rival offerings of 5 Star restaurants. We were spoiled during our sailing excursion and the food that we found at resorts after our stay on the Genesis paled in comparison to the creations offered from the small galley of the Genesis. Bravo!
We were unfamiliar with the area so we relied on the knowledge and experience of our crew and was not disappointed. We had a great time and enjoyed all that we saw and experienced. Petr and Tracy knew who to contact for us to scuba dive with, all the great little "best kept secret" island spots and personally knew many of the great boat vendors that would visit to market their island made jewelry, t-shirts, carvings and other unique items.
We would love to sail with them again from Grenada and possibly some other islands with diving along the way. They are absolutely Great! One of the best sailing trips we have ever been on.
Chuck F, aboard Catamaran Genesis May 2012 sailing the Caribbean Grenadines
Petr & Tracy were unbelievable. I can't think of anything they could have done more for us. It was better than any service I've had in any 5 Star, 5 Diamond hotel. They were professional, friendly, unbelievably attentive (took me a day to get used to that level of attention. We have our own boat and often have friends aboard. I thought we were attentive but, turns out, not so much). It seemed like they anticipated everything we might need at any given time.
It was amazing to have one whole side of the boat for our cabin. Tons of storage, full height ceilings, huge head and shower (again, thought we had a big shower on our boat but this was bigger). Petr is also well versed in electronics so we had access to over 800 movies at any time (not that we ever made it through a whole movie). Tracy paid attention to our musical likes so it seems like if we mentioned a song, there it was.
AC was available if we wanted it and Petr would put up the canopy and hammock anytime we wanted it. We even slept outside on the trampoline in a lovely bay.
We have eaten at many high end restaurants. What we had on board Genesis was many levels above all of that. We were so amazed we took photos of most of our meals. Tracy took no shortcuts in cooking for us. Everything was prepared from scratch, the flavors were WOW and the presentation was nothing short of 5 Star. Rick even started calling Tracy "5 Star". We caught some Barracuda which Tracy (cleaned, filleted, etc) served us the next day for lunch. We had shark, calamari, conch, lobster, tuna, steaks, lamb and some of the most amazing breakfasts ever.
The scenery sailing the Grenadines was beautiful, the water was blue. Took my breath away when we came around the corner on the tender on the 1st day. Petr & Tracy took us to many destinations and it was wonderful. Anchored in the Tobago Cays 10' from turtles was fabulous. Petit St. Vincent has the most amazing boutique (oops, the Visa did get used). We did quite a bit of snorkeling, despite the fact that I'm kind of afraid of fish. Petr took us snorkeling with turtles and even took underwater photos of us. When we were leaving the boat they gave us a memory stick with 350 photos they had taken of us - fabulous! Also helps that Tracy is a marine biologist. Made for very interesting and educational trip. One night we had 20 stingrays under the boat!

Sail through aquamarine waters on gentle trade winds from one of these treasures to the next. Drop anchor and dive in. These tranquil waters could not be more inviting. Explore the tropical islands. Stroll the palm-fringed beaches and sink your toes in the powder white sand. Paradise awaits!
Bequia: the Carib-Indian term meaning "Island in the Clouds", is the largest and northern most island in the Grenadines. It has retained its age-old traditions in boat building, whaling and fishing. This picturesque "big little island" with its seafaring history has long been a favorite anchoring spot and watering hole for pirates of the past as well as yachtsmen of today. Here you can enjoy one of the many secluded coves with golden beaches and tranquil waters. Or if you need a night out on the town Bequia is the place. There is live music somewhere every night of the week - from steel bands, soca and West Indian folk to country-n-western and rythm-n-blues. Cheers and welcome to paradise.
Mustique: this privately owned, well manicured gem of an island with its grand villas and astonishing views has long been a hideaway for British Royals and international celebrities. Mustique is "unquestionably one of the most exclusive islands of the world". Stroll on one of the exquisite palm-lined beaches or share a cocktail at world renowned Basil's Bar with such sophisticated beachcombers as Raquel Welch and Shawn Connery or rockers David Bowie and Mick Jagger. At Basil's you never know with whom you'll be sharing your next "sundowner".
Canuan: nestled in the midst of the Grenadines, this three square mile crescent-shaped island holds claim to some of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Long ribbons of powder-white sands, wide tranquil shallows and an amazing protective barrier reef.
Mayreau: at just one and a quarter square mile, it is the smallest inhabited isle in the Grenadines with just over 250 residents. It boasts the world famous Salt Whistle Bay where yachtsmen from around the globe seek anchorage just off the sweeping half-moon beach. It is well worth a short hike up the hill to the lovely, old stone church offering unforgettable panoramic views of the Grenadines and the breathtaking Tobago Cays.
Tobago Cays: the Diamonds of the Caribbean, are a cluster of five uninhabited islands collectively sheltered from the open ocean by the appropriately named Horseshoe Reef. With their powdery, white sand beaches, coconut palms, rocky outcrops and green-topped hills, these cays are considered to be the most scenic anchorage in the Caribbean. Without a doubt by virtue of its crystal clear, shallow water, abundant marine life and flourishing corals it is a superb location for snorkeling and diving. There truly remain few places on Earth today that can match the unblemished natural beauty and tranquility of the Tobago cays. The shallow water of the lagoon surrounding the cays inspires an ever-changing kaleidoscope of blues, greens and seemingly limitless shades of aquamarine, creating a picture perfect backdrop for the islands (and for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean). Come and discover a true treasure.
Union Island: boasting the highest point in the Grenadines, has a dramatic and impressive profile of ridges and peaks. The Caribbean's own little Tahiti. This mountainous island is fringed by superb beaches, lagoons and reefs for you to enjoy. And since the main airport serving the Grenadines is located here, Union Island has become a great pick up and drop off point. As such this now popular yachting centre often has quite a bustling atmosphere. Shop, dine or simply "lime" at one of the many watering holes.
Palm Island: this 135-acre tropical paradise is a private resort boasting five lovely beaches, graceful palm groves and turquoise blue waters. Remember that all of the beaches in the Grenadines are Public so you are welcome to come ashore, to have a drink or dine at the Yacht Club and to visit their boutique.
Petit St Vincent: is one of the worlds most enchanting, intimate private resort hideaways - no telephones or televisions, no casinos or cabarets but you are welcome to come ashore for a drink and stroll the beautiful beaches that almost totally surround the island. The beauty of this anchorage continues to attract yachtsmen from all over the world.
Petite Martinique: generally not on the tourist trail, is small, local and enchantingly authentic. The inhabitants live by boat bu
