Catamaran Dreaming On
Where Luxury meets adventure!
Dreaming On is a crewed Leopard 47 catamaran offering a very spacious interior with 3 queen size guest cabins, each with en suite bathrooms.
On deck, a comfortable cockpit for socializing, relaxing and dining, plus loads of deck and trampoline space for sunning and relaxing in our double hammock.
Dreaming On offers an array of water toys and water sports for your enjoyment. Her professional crew are ready to take you on a voyage of discovery in the beautiful unspoiled crystal clear waters around Belize. Join Dreaming On for a vacation of a lifetime. Children of all ages are welcome.
Dreaming On is based at Roberts Grove Marina, just 10 minutes from Placencia’s airport, and our offshore base is Funk Caye, 16 miles offshore in the fantastic turquoise blue waters close to the 165 mile-long main barrier reef.
Our cruising area in the southern cays is magical. Very few other boats around, many cays to choose from and a guaranteed caye to ourselves every night.
Snorkeling is phenomenal. Thousands of patch reefs in protected water inside the main barrier reef, and again, wherever we snorkel, we will be the only boat around and our guests, the only people in the water.
We have hundreds of wonderful opportunities for Kayak exploration around the cays and over crystal clear reefs. Same for Stand-Up Paddle Boarding. Imagine standing on a paddle board over a natural aquarium. Southern Belize has it all.
The offshore cays of Belize are mostly uninhabited, except for a possible seasonal fishing shack. However, there is a choice of interesting beach bars and eateries available in the cays as an occasional change from life on board Dreaming On.

Meet the Crew

Separately or together they have lived and worked in the Lebanon, Yemen Arab Republic, Seychelles, Kenya, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Dubai in the UAE.
Geoff has enjoyed a varied career in aviation, mostly in East Africa and Saudi Arabia. Assisted by Iza, he managed the creation of a new tourist seaplane service in Dubai during 2007.
Iza has always been a world traveler. She has managed businesses in the Yemen, worked as chef on a charter yacht in the Seychelles, managed exhibitions in London, run her own carpentry business in Kenya, taught information technology in Saudi Arabia and been involved in the creation of the Dubai airline.
Iza loves exploring, whether underwater or seeking that magical secluded bay or deserted island. Geoff and Iza are both PADI Rescue Divers.
Luckily for Geoff, if Iza's not underwater, out kayaking or beachcombing, she's enjoying her long-standing passion for what he calls, her “culinary artistic creations.” Iza’s menus are influenced by the many cultures she has experienced and she will pamper you, matching the tastes and preferences of each individual guest. She will often bake three times a day from fresh muffins in the morning, fresh loaves for lunch and a variety of dinner rolls. She uses locally available produce wherever possible to create delicious and healthy gourmet cuisine which looks as astounding as it tastes.
Geoff and Iza operated their catamaran Dreaming On for luxury crewed charters in the BVI for 5 years, then moved on to Belize for a change of scene. They fell in love with the islands of southern Belize, the phenomenal colours, the uncongested waters, and the chance to anchor at a different island every night and have the island to themselves.
So much so that they purchased and have been developing their own special piece of that paradise, Funk Caye, close to the main barrier reef. Funk Caye offers turquoise blue waters, fantastic snorkeling on the house reef all around the island, kayaking and paddle board opportunities. Nurse sharks regularly swim around under the island’s dock, and manatees have been sighted. Spotted Eagle Rays are permanent residents.
They now invite you to join them on board Dreaming On and share their knowledge and love of this quiet, unspoiled area.

BELIZE CHARTER ITINERARY
There are multiple itinerary options for charters commencing from The Placencia Resort and Marina. We show two examples below.
One itinerary heads north to one of the channels through the barrier reef, to take us to Turneffe Atoll and Lighthouse Reef.
The second itinerary takes us in a circle through the inner deep water channels, amongst the cays with some anchorages just inside the barrier reef as well as some sailing along the barrier reef.
The Belize Barrier Reef and the many cays inside and atolls outside are famous for their fantastic diving opportunities.
All of Dreaming On’s itineraries include great diving opportunities, so, on request, we can arrange Rendezvous Diving with local, professional dive organizations for any divers on board. Diving with a local dive organization, whose Dive Masters dive these waters every day, ensures that our guests enjoy the best possible diving experience.
1 ‐ ATOLL ITINERARY
Day 1 ‐ Depart The Placencia sailing North up the inner channel to Blue Ground Range. Then work our way east through patch reefs to anchor for the night just inside the barrier reef at South Water Cay. Great snorkeling and rendezvous diving opportunities here as well as just north at Tobacco Cay and near Carrie Bow Cay. This is all part of the Belize Marine Reserve. There are three restaurants on the cay. Guides can also be arranged for flats fishing.
Day 2 – Through the South Water Cut and set sail to Turneffe Atoll. There is good snorkeling here and exploring the waterways throughout Turneffe with a dinghy or kayak is very interesting.
Day 3 – 6 We continue on to Lighthouse Reef and drop anchor on the west side of Long Cay. Arriving at Lighthouse Reef early in the week will allow us to spend up to 3 days at this amazing atoll. Take advantage of the fabulous rendezvous diving opportunities along the Lighthouse Wall. Advance divers can arrange to dive the Blue Hole. Another option is to take a shore excursion to Halfmoon Cay to see the Bird Sanctuary. The wall at Halfmoon Cay also offers beautiful diving.
Day 7 ‐ A downwind sail from Lighthouse to the barrier reef. Anchor just inside the reef at Tobacco Cay.
Day 8 – Our final morning will be a sail back to The Placencia Marina.
2 ‐ INNER BARRIER REEF AND CAYES ITINERARY
Day 1 – Depart The Placencia Marina on a reach to Rendezvous Island. Great place to snorkel and anchor for the first night.
Day 2 – Sail up the inner channel to Blue Ground Range.
Day 3 – Through the cut in the barrier reef for a down wind sail along the reef to Gladden Cut. Fish along the way for a chance to catch Mahi Mahi, Wahoo or Tuna. Anchor inside the reef at Gladden Cut.
Day 4 ‐ Sail to Ranguana Cay where there is more snorkeling and an opportunity for a rendezvous dive.
Day 5 – A sail north on the inside of the reef will bring us to the Queen Cays (also known as Silk Cays). There are restaurants on both Ranguana Cay and Hatchet Cay (near the Queen Cays)
Day 6 – A day exploring the local cays with some more snorkeling.
Day 7 – After a morning snorkel or rendezvous dive we can sail to Placencia Village where guests can go ashore and experience a bit of village life. Placencia’s famous “Main Road” is a 3 foot wide concrete path meandering through the sand, passing lots of little local shops and restaurants . A few minutes spent on this “Road” and you will probably meet everyone in Placencia!
Day 8 – Our final morning involves a short sail back to The Placencia Marina.
