Built in 1983, Kai is one of the few remaining monohulls available for charter in the Caribbean and is the perfect option for adventure seekers and sailing enthusiasts alike.  Kai, the Hawaiian word for “blue ocean,” offers guests the quintessential sailing experience with all the luxuries and amenities of modern sailing.

A 72’ custom Wellington sailing yacht, Kai has received multiple upgrades and refits while maintaining the integrity and timelessness of a classic monohull.  Kai accommodates six guests in three beautiful cabins and is the perfect layout for families or groups of close friends.

Guests spend their time aboard Kai relaxing in the hammock or beanbags, assisting in the sailing of the vessel, or enjoying the vessel’s many water toy options.  Many groups find themselves returning to Kai year after year – a true testament to the experience and level of care taken by the owner and crew.

Kai’s owner and Captain, Justin, has a passion for involving guests in the sailing of the vessel and taking them off the beaten path to explore the more secluded areas of the Caribbean.  A lifelong mariner, Justin’s motto is, “home is where the anchor drops.”

Justin is accompanied by Chef Lecil who provides guests with a culinary experience rooted in the local culture with a focus on sustainably sourced food.  Her meals are equally beautiful as they are delicious.

To round out their crew, Sam acts as the vessel’s deckhand and third crew member.  Sam is a sweet rescue pup that knows how to win over the hearts and minds of everyone that steps on board Kai.
