Born in Europe, Boris' sense of adventure led him to Canada when he was a young man where he met Shirley. Boris pursued a career in real estate and public relations while Shirley worked in the corporate world but their adventurous nature got the best of them.
They cruised extensively thousands of miles through the South Pacific and the Australian, Central, South American and Caribbean waters, raising and educating their two sons along the way. Enthused to share their formula for living life in full color, Boris and Shirley wrote the entertaining book, The Unsinkable Spirit, chronicling their early boating adventures.
Turning their lifestyle into their livelihood Boris and Shirley bought larger vessels and chartered their 110' and 100' boats for over 15 years, developing an excellent reputation in the charter industry. They are known to operate a fun shi and Captain Boris, with his charismatic personality and smile, is known to be one of the best Captains in the Caribbean. A reflection of this is the many repeat charter guests - many returning year after year.
Besides a passion for being on the water, Shirley loves being around people and shopping for antiques (she once owned a large antique import and retail business). She also loves to dance, travel and hike and to be around children of all ages.
Chef Paul-Michael is 24 years young, a hard worker, with energy and enthusiasm bursting from every pore - that would describe Chef Paul-Michael in a nut shell. Born on the west coast of Canada, Paul-Michael spent many of his childhood summers sailing with his parents, developing a special bond with the ocean. Obsessed with cooking since he was a child, it was only natural that Paul-Michael would become a professional Chef.
After graduating from Culinary Arts he worked at the renowned 5 star Westin Resort and Spa in Whistler, the world class ski resort. Paul-Michael's two main passions in life ' cooking and being on the water, attracted him to the charter yacht industry. Nothing pleases Paul-Michael more than delighting charter guests with his cuisine aboard Lady Madelyn.
Stewardess Kelli-Lee was born in Australia and has since covered much of the world. After taking International Trade and Real Estate in Australia, Kelli-Lee ventured to the opposite side of the globe to explore Europe. Utilizing her strong people and business skill, Kelli-Lee successfully managed the well know Caf Gitane in New York City. But she had a different version of her future. Always drawn to boats, water and international living, Kelli-Lee decided the yachting industry would be the perfect career for her. Her bright cheerful personality is compliment to Lady Madelyn's crew.
Engineer Tom was born in the green hills of Scotland. Combining work with travel, Tom became a Marine Engineer and has worked on ships covering the globe ever since. Tom brings to Lady Madelyn a volume of knowledge through his vast education and experience. Not to mention his wonderful stories. In his delightful Scottish lilt and with a twinkle in his eve he'll delight you with on of his many tales.
Deckhand Greg, 32 years old, was born and raised in South Africa. Greg is passionate about Lady Madelyn and his job; and it shows in everything he does. In addition to being an all around great deckhand, Greg has a friendly nature, contagious smile and enjoys outdoor sports. He is an advanced scuba diver and loves to fish, hike and mountain bike.
