With so many amazing islands, bays and cays to visit the itinerary for each charter is tailored specifically for each group of guests. If you are keen scuba divers, want to sail all day, or spend lots of time ashore, Captain Jonny will make sure that he plans an itinerary to suit you. This is a flexible guide and will be discussed with you when you board Double Feature.
Below is just a sample of how your week could look:
Day 1
It's 12 noon, Welcome Aboard! Once your bags are stowed and you have a cool drink in-hand, Captain Jonny will give you a safety briefing to orientate you with Double Feature. Then it's time to hoist the sails for the short trip to exclusive Peter Island. Here you will anchor in the pristine water at Deadman's Bay and take your first swim in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. After a delicious lunch it's time to sail to Salt Island and snorkel the famous Wreck of the Rhone, then on to Cooper Island for dinner.
Day 2
A revitalizing snorkel at Cisterne Point will build your appetite for breakfast and for the day ahead. Sailing across the channel and up to Trellis Bay where you're sure to see plenty of Sea Turtles. There is a fantastic local craft shop ashore which is well worth a visit. After lunch, it's a short hop to picturesque Marina Cay for some excellent snorkeling and a trip ashore.
Day 3
Enjoy a bracing sail up to North Sound in Virgin Gorda. Perhaps go for a wakeboard or just relax on the yacht while Kelly prepares another superb meal. After lunch you can take a taxi over the top of the island, which gives you the most spectacular views of the whole of the BVI, to the famous Baths. Formed millions of years ago as a result of volcanic activity these giant boulders provide a playground amongst which you can snorkel, swim and walk.
Day 4
After breakfast, enjoy an exhilarating reach to Anegada. This limestone atoll is only 24' high at the highest point and surrounded by reef. A trip to Loblolly Bay for some unforgettable snorkeling is a must. In the afternoon, a visit to Cow Wreck Beach in the north of the island will unveil miles of deserted white sand beaches. Famous for its local lobster, Anegada is the perfect place to enjoy dinner ashore.
Day 5
A downwind sail today as you head for Monkey Bay, Guana Island. After snorkeling and lunch, sail along the north shore of Tortola to Cane Garden Bay. A lively place ashore, this is a great place to take in some local bars and music.
Day 6
A short sail this morning to Green Cay and Sandy Spit. Two tiny 'desert islands' that are a must on anyone's itinerary. After lunch, it's off to White Bay on Jost Van Dyke….home to the legendary Soggy Dollar Bar. So put your money in your shorts, dive over the side and make for the bar. Spend the afternoon relaxing in a hammock sipping a relaxing Pain Killer cocktail or if you're feeling more active, head back out on the water and take in some kneeboarding or water skiing.
Day 7
Enjoy a short sail and brief stop at Soper's Hole, Tortola. A very quaint spot and a good place to purchase souvenirs of your vacation while. Then it's a sail up the Sir Francis Drake Passage to Norman Island and some amazing snorkeling at The Caves. This is rumored to have been the place famous pirates once hid their treasure, so keep your eye out for anything that glitters. After another gourmet dinner, it's time to take you to The Willy T - a famous floating bar.
Day 8
Get up early and take in a short dinghy trip to The Indians for a final snorkel. Then it's time to up the anchor, hoist the sails and head back to Village Cay Marina. Disembark at 12 noon.
Your itinerary is completely flexible depending on how active or relaxed you would like to be during your charter. Prior to your vacation the crew will be in touch to introduce themselves and discuss an itinerary outline with you. Ultimately this is your private yacht, so you can change your plans and stay longer in an area, or head off to new shores whenever you'd like - it is entirely up to you.
