Sample itinerary in the British Virgin Islands:
Day 1: Pick up at noon and stay for lunch off the Peter Island Resort Beach. Then an afternoon sail around to Benure Bay on the north side of Norman. A very quiet remote bay not frequented by many people. Water sports, skiing, tubing and wakeboarding are possible here in the flat calm water.
Day 2: We will stay in the area for the morning visiting the Indians off Pelican Island for the first dive of the week. There is also great snorkeling here for the non divers. In the afternoon we sail over to Key Bay on the south side of Peter Island spending the night stern-to in a quiet cove. This is a wonderful quiet spot with beautiful snorkeling.
Day 3: A morning sail back around Peter Island to Salt Island for a snorkel on the Famous wreck of the Rhone dating back to 1867. We can do the second dive of the week here as this is a dive NOT TO MISS. A little further sail up to Cooper Island for a possible lunch at the Cooper Island Beach Bar. Possibly spend the night here or on the south side of Beef Island tucked up in Ell Bay near the bluff
Day 4: A short sail on up to The Baths on Virgin Gorda. The picturesque boulders and lots of little paddle pools is always a delight for everyone. Spend lunch time on a mooring here and in later walk up to the Mad Dog restaurant for a great view of the Sir Francis Drake Channel right down to St John sipping on a cherry topped Pina Colada. In the afternoon sail up to Mountain point. This is a secluded spot with great snorkeling and flat water for water sports. Anchored stern-to here for the night. I always guarantee a turtle spotting here. There is a local one who never seems to leave. There is a dive spot here too.
Day 5: A quick sail over Great Dog of the Dog Island little group. There is a great dive here called The Chimney. The snorkel is also one of the best in the BVI. This is a great place to be as long as there is no northerly swell. After lunch a short sail up past the Virgin Gorda North Sound where we can rent Hobie Cats or laze around on the beach at the Sand Box beach bar A meal at the Biras Creek Resort overlooking the Sound for a beautiful sunset is a must see. Also in this area is a very secluded bay, Deep Bay on the north east side of the sound to "get away from it all" Here you could choose to dine in seclusion on the boat. There is flat water here for tubing, wakeboarding etc. There are a possible 2 Spar's in the area for massages and pampering at either Leverick Bay Resort or Bitter End Resort.
Day 6: Leave after breakfast for an hour and half sail up to Anegada for amazing snorkeling on the North side of the island and endless miles of beach to walk on. Anegada is famous for their Lobster which would be the attraction here for the evening or quietly tucked up in an anchorage away from everyone else.
Day 7: Sail back down to Iguana Island mooring off Monkey Point for a great snorkel with schools of Tarpon feeding on the thousands of sprats that our lurking in these waters. Then off to Marina Cay and Cam Bay for a evening with the singing pirate at Happy Arrrrrr singing local folk songs and a great entertainer he is. Or we can be hidden in a secluded bay called Cam Bay where we will not be disturbed.
Day 8: A short sail down the very rugged but picturesque North side of Tortola stopping off at Brewers Bay for a dive. For lunch we move down to Sandy Cay and Diamond Cay to enjoy a pretty little Island all on its own with a lovely beach. In the area, we can visit the Bubbly pools on the north side which is amazing to see when there is big swell around. The water gushes through a narrow ravine in the rocks opening out into a big pool to wade in. For the evening we can be in Cane Garden Bay. A very picturesque little bay with restaurants and curio shops and a long swim friendly beach.
Day 9: Wake up for a final sail up the Drake Channel to be back at the Peter Island Resort by noon.
